UFP Dance Company | Defining Rhythm Urban Dance Competition 2013
It’s that time, when we put up those sappy cheesy love posts about our team.
But this feels a little different. This was definitely the absolute greatest I felt on stage in quite some time. You know why? Because we were literally just us. This was OUR set, OUR time to shine, OUR moment to show everyone how hard we’ve busted our asses off this entire season and how it finally paid off in the end. And seriously, I wouldn’t have wanted to do this kind of set with any other team.
Like Joseph said at our last practice, we’ve seen each other every single week for the past few years. We have experienced more things with each other than we probably have with anyone else we know. We are such a tight knit family and despite the difficult moments we’ve gone through this entire season, we’ve gotten so much stronger, we’ve grown so much together as dancers, and we’ve gotten so much closer as a team than I could even wish to imagine. And I’m so damn proud of us. We poured our our hearts and souls and bodies and sweat and tears and love and lives onto that fuckin stage. Our words of encouragement before, during, and after the performance were so heartwarming. With our good ass talks and laughs and getting fat and watching this set on YouTube together at 4 in the morning, like damn…THIS IS MY FAMILY.
We ran our race. We won our race.I love you guys so much! I’m so proud of each and every one of you and I thank God for blessing me with the opportunity of knowing such inspiring people<3
And big congrats to Miracle Project with the greatest comeback and 2nd place, and Project D rippin the stage and 3rd place!
I’m so lucky. I’m so happy. I’m so proud. I’m so blessed.
